Method
Preparation of Brownie Base
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour the melted butter into the sugar and mix until well combined.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- 6
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 7
Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 8
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 9
Cool the Brownies
Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
