Panna Cotta Instructions
- 1
Prepare Gelatin
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- 2
Heat Cream Mixture
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is hot, but not boiling.
- 3
Add Gelatin
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- 4
Chill the Mixture
Pour the panna cotta mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- 5
Prepare Seasonal Fruit
While the panna cotta is setting, prepare your seasonal fruit by washing and cutting it into bite-sized pieces if necessary.
- 6
Serve
Once the panna cotta has set, top each serving with a generous amount of seasonal fruit before serving.
