Caramelized Peaches

Maple Butter

Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Frosted Pecans

Method

Caramelized Peaches

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peaches

Slice the ripe peaches in half, remove the pit, and then slice into wedges.

  2. 2

    Caramelize

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add the peach wedges, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches are soft and caramelized.

Maple Butter

  1. 3

    Make Maple Butter

In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of unsalted butter with 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup until well combined. Set aside.

Cinnamon Whipped Cream

  1. 4

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Whip using a hand mixer or stand mixer until soft peaks form.

Frosted Pecans

  1. 5

    Prepare the Pecans

In a bowl, whisk 1 egg white until frothy. Add 1 cup of pecans, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix well to coat the pecans.

  2. 6

    Bake Pecans

Spread the pecan mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and crunchy.

French Toast

  1. 7

    Prepare the Bread

Slice the sourdough baguette into thick slices, about 1-inch thick.

  2. 8

    Make the Egg Mixture

In a large bowl, whisk together 4 eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.

  3. 9

    Cook the French Toast

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each slice of baguette into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Cook each slice for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  4. 10

    Assemble the Dish

Serve the French toast topped with caramelized peaches, a dollop of cinnamon whipped cream, drizzled with maple butter, and sprinkled with frosted pecans.
