Panko Crusted Shrimp

Sweet Chili Sauce

Method

Panko Crusted Shrimp

1

Prepare the Shrimp

In a large bowl, season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly.

2

Set Up Breading Stations

Prepare three shallow dishes: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.

3

Bread the Shrimp

Dredge each shrimp first in the flour, shaking off excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each shrimp is well coated.

4

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

5

Fry the Shrimp

Working in batches, carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

Sweet Chili Sauce

6

Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Whisk together until well blended. Set aside.

Calabrian Aioli

7

Prepare Aioli

In another small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Calabrian chili paste, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.
