Method
Fried Rice
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all ingredients for the fried rice including cooked jasmine rice, Sriracha sauce, vegetable oil, diced onion, minced garlic, eggs, chopped basil, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- 2
Cook the Eggs
In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and scramble until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 3
Sauté the Aromatics
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4
Add the Rice
Add the cooked jasmine rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- 5
Season the Rice
Pour in the Sriracha sauce and soy sauce, and add salt and pepper. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
- 6
Finish with Basil
Stir in the chopped basil and the scrambled eggs. Mix until everything is well incorporated. Remove from heat and set aside.
