Method

Hash Browns

  1. 1

    Prepare the hash browns

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the frozen hash browns, spreading them out evenly in the pan. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

Meat

  1. 2

    Cook the bacon and sausage

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. In the same skillet, cook the sausage links according to package instructions until browned and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Slice into rounds.

Scrambled Eggs

  1. 3

    Scramble the eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, stirring gently, until the eggs are set but still fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Gravy

  1. 4

    Make the gravy

In a small saucepan, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir to combine. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until thickened, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble The Hashstack

On a large plate, layer the crispy hash browns as the base. Top with the cooked bacon, sausage rounds, scrambled eggs, and then generously drizzle the sausage gravy over the top. Finally, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over everything and serve immediately.
