Preparing the Burger

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, shape the ground beef into two equal-sized patties, about ½ inch thick. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on a separate skillet or in a toaster.
Assembling the Burger

Top and Serve
Place the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients. Serve immediately with a side of Thousand Island dressing.
Making the Thousand Island Dressing

Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Mix Well
Mix all ingredients until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serve
Transfer the dressing to a serving bowl and serve it on the side with the burger.
