Tea Preparation
- 1
Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor.
- 3
Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them. If you prefer sweet tea, stir in 1 cup of sugar at this stage until fully dissolved.
Flavoring
- 4
Add Flavor
If desired, add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves and slices from 1 lemon to the sweetened tea mixture. Stir gently to combine.
Cooling and Serving
- 5
Cool the Tea
Let the tea sit at room temperature until it cools down, then refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to chill.
- 6
Prepare to Serve
Once chilled, fill glasses with 2 cups of ice cubes and pour the cold tea over the ice. Optionally, add 2 cups of cold water to dilute the tea to your taste.
