Fries Preparation

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into long strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Dry the Potatoes
After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
In batches, carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Immediately season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
