Wings

Method

Wings

  1. 1

    Marinate the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, ginger powder, black pepper, and red chili flakes. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.

  2. 2

    Prepare for Cooking

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. If using an air fryer, preheat it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  3. 3

    Bake the Wings

Place the marinated wings on the prepared baking sheet or in the air fryer basket. Drizzle with vegetable oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and golden brown. If using an air fryer, cook for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket occasionally.

  4. 4

    Serve the Wings

Remove the wings from the oven or air fryer, let them cool slightly, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Chicken Satay

  1. 5

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into thin strips, about 1 inch wide. This helps them cook evenly and stay tender.

  2. 6

    Make the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, and curry powder until smooth and well combined.

  3. 7

    Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but preferably for a few hours or overnight.

  4. 8

    Prepare Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  5. 9

    Skewer the Chicken

Thread the marinated chicken strips onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

  6. 10

    Grill the Satay

Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  7. 11

    Serve the Satay

Remove from the grill and serve hot with any leftover marinade as a dipping sauce.
