Crust Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Pour in the melted butter and mix until the crumbs are evenly coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.
- 2
Form the Crust
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Use the flat bottom of a measuring cup to pack it down evenly. Pre-bake the crust in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
Filling Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
- 4
Add Sugar and Other Ingredients
Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until well combined. Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour, mixing until fully incorporated.
- 5
Add Eggs
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Baking
- 6
Combine and Bake
Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- 7
Cool the Cheesecake
Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. Then, remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Serving
- 8
Serve the Cheesecake
Once chilled, carefully remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Top with fresh fruit, fruit sauce, or whipped cream as desired. Slice and serve.
