Salad Base

Method

Prepare Salad Base

1

Wash and Chop Lettuce

Thoroughly wash the Romaine lettuce and mixed greens under cold running water. Pat dry with a kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water. Chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

Make Dressing

2

Combine Dressing Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Prepare Croutons

3

Make Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Spread the cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.

Assemble Salad

4

Combine Ingredients

In the large bowl with the chopped greens, add the prepared dressing. Toss until the lettuce is well coated. Add the croutons on top and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
