Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Wash the ripe tomatoes thoroughly under cold water. Slice each tomato into thick rounds, about 1/2 inch thick. Set aside on a plate.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Burrata

Carefully remove the burrata cheese from its packaging. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften the cheese for better flavor and texture.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Basil

Rinse the fresh basil leaves gently and pat them dry with a paper towel. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Caprese

On a large serving platter, arrange the tomato slices in a circular pattern. Place the burrata cheese in the center of the tomatoes.

  2. 5

    Garnish with Basil

Evenly distribute the fresh basil leaves over the tomatoes and burrata.

  3. 6

    Drizzle with Oils

Using a spoon, drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the entire dish, followed by the balsamic reduction for added flavor.

  4. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while the burrata is fresh and creamy, pairing it with crusty bread or crackers if desired.
