Add Liquids and Seasonings
Pour in the clam juice and add the heavy cream, dried thyme, bay leaves, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Cook the Chowder
Reduce heat to low and let the chowder simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

Add Clams
Stir in the chopped clams and cook for another 5 minutes until heated through. Remove bay leaves before serving.

Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Toss the Bread
In a mixing bowl, combine the cubed bread, olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss until the bread is well coated.

Bake the Croutons
Spread the coated bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy, tossing halfway through.
