Shepherd's Pie Ingredients
Method
Shepherd's Pie Directions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and carrots, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the ground beef or lamb, breaking it apart and cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- 2
Stir in the frozen peas, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and black pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
- 3
Layer the Pie
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a baking dish, spread the sweet cream corn evenly across the bottom. Pour the meat mixture over the corn and spread it evenly.
- 4
Top with the Jack'd Up Mashers, spreading them evenly to cover the filling completely. Use a fork to create a textured surface on the mashers.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- 6
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
