Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

Cut the brisket into small cubes and season with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Brown the Meat

Add the cubed brisket and ground beef to the pot. Cook until the meat is browned on all sides.

  4. 4

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

Stir in tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and beef broth. Bring to a boil.

  5. 5

    Simmer

Reduce heat to low and let the chili simmer uncovered for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. For deeper flavor, simmer for up to 2 hours.

  6. 6

    Serve

Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot with cheese and sour cream on top, if desired.
