Prepare garnishes
Slice a fresh strawberry halfway through for a garnish and cut a small pineapple wedge. Set the maraschino cherry aside if using.
Mixing
- 3
Combine spirits and mixers
In a cocktail shaker, add 1.5 oz Bacardi white rum, 0.75 oz Whaler's coconut rum, 0.5 oz Bacardi Spiced rum, 0.5 oz banana liqueur, 2 oz pineapple juice, 1 oz fresh orange juice, 1 oz cream of coconut, and 1 oz strawberry puree. If you prefer a sweeter drink, also add 0.25 oz simple syrup.
- 4
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with a generous amount of ice (about 1 cup crushed or cubed). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosty.
Serve

- 6
Dark rum float
Carefully pour 0.25 oz Myers's dark rum over the back of a bar spoon so it floats on top of the drink, creating a layered effect.
- 7
Garnish
Garnish with the sliced strawberry on the rim, a pineapple wedge, and a maraschino cherry on a pick. Optionally sprinkle a few drops of extra strawberry puree on top for color.
- 8
Serve
Serve immediately with a straw and a swizzle stick. Provide a small spoon if you floated the dark rum so guests can stir to taste.
