Method
Prepare Fruit & Puree
- 1
Hull and slice strawberries
Rinse strawberries under cold water, hull them (remove green tops), and halve or quarter larger berries so they blend evenly. Reserve one strawberry for garnish.
- 2
Slice banana
Slice half a ripe banana into coins. Reserve one slice for garnish.
Blend Smoothie
- 3
Add crushed ice (1 cup) to a high-speed blender first to protect the blades from motor strain.
- 4
Add the hulled strawberries (4 oz) and banana slices (from half a banana) on top of the ice.
- 5
Pour in Smirnoff Vanilla vodka (2 oz) and banana liqueur (1 oz).
- 6
- 7
Secure the blender lid and blend on high for 30–45 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and evenly textured. Stop and scrape down the sides once if needed; blend an additional 10–15 seconds.
Serve & Garnish
- 8
Taste briefly (use caution — contains alcohol) and adjust sweetness or texture if desired: add 0.5 oz more strawberry puree for sweeter fruit flavor, or 1–2 tbs more crushed ice and re-blend for thicker texture.
- 9
Pour the blended smoothie into a chilled 12–14 oz glass, leaving a little headspace if adding whipped cream.
- 10
Garnish with the reserved strawberry slice and banana slice on the rim. Optionally, top with 1 tablespoon whipped cream and a light dusting of crushed freeze-dried strawberry or a small strawberry piece.
- 11
Serve immediately with a straw. Stir gently before sipping to reincorporate any settled fruit.
