Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Chop the onion, green bell pepper, celery, and garlic. Slice the andouille sausage and cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.

2

Sauté Vegetables and Meats

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the sliced sausage and chicken pieces, cooking until the chicken is browned on all sides.

3

Add Garlic and Seasoning

Stir in the minced garlic and Cajun seasoning, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

4

Add Rice and Broth

Add the rice to the pot, stirring well to combine. Pour in the chicken broth and add bay leaves. Bring to a boil.

5

Simmer

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let simmer for about 20 minutes.

6

Add Shrimp

After 20 minutes, add the shrimp to the pot, stirring gently. Cover and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

7

Taste and Adjust

Remove bay leaves and taste the jambalaya. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed.

8

Serve

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
