Beef Patty
Method
Preparation
- 1
Mixing the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patty tender.
- 2
Forming the Patty
Divide the mixture into equal portions of 1/3 lb (approximately 150 grams). Shape each portion into a round patty about ¾ inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Adding Cheese (Optional)
If using cheese, place a slice on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover the skillet with a lid to help melt the cheese.
- 6
Resting the Patty
Once cooked to your liking, remove the patty from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. This helps retain the juices.

Assembling the Burger (Optional)
If desired, toast the bun lightly and place the patty inside. Add any favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, or sauces.
