Chocolate Pudding Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chocolate Pudding

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add the milk while whisking to combine. Place the saucepan over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Mixture

Continue to cook the mixture while stirring constantly until it thickens and starts to bubble, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Chocolate and Vanilla

Remove from heat and stir in the semisweet chocolate chips and vanilla extract until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

  4. 4

    Chill the Pudding

Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes or one large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Whipped Cream

In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Whip until soft peaks form.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once the pudding is chilled, top with the whipped cream and serve.
