Tofu Skewers
Spicy Peanut Sauce
Method
Tofu Skewers Preparation
- 1
Press the Tofu
Wrap the firm tofu in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for about 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Marinate the Tofu
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, ground ginger, and olive oil. Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and add to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Skewer the Tofu
Preheat the grill. Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto the skewers, packing them snugly but not too tightly.
- 4
Grill the Skewers
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and slightly charred.
Spicy Peanut Sauce Preparation
- 5
Mix the Sauce
In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, lime juice, Sriracha sauce, brown sugar, and water. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- 6
Adjust Consistency
If the sauce is too thick, gradually add more water until your desired consistency is reached.
- 7
Serve
Serve the grilled tofu skewers with the spicy peanut sauce on the side for dipping.
