Method

Classic Mojito

  1. 1

    Muddle the Mint

In a sturdy glass, muddle the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar together until the mint is fragrant and the sugar begins to dissolve.

  2. 2

    Add Lime

Squeeze the juice of the lime into the glass, and drop the lime half into the mixture.

  3. 3

    Mix in Rum

Pour in the white rum and stir gently to combine all ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add Soda and Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes and top off with club soda. Stir gently to mix.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a sprig of mint if desired and serve immediately.

Classic Margarita

  1. 6

    Prepare Glass

Rub the rim of a chilled glass with a lime wedge and dip it in salt to coat the rim.

  2. 7

    Mix the Ingredients

In a shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice with ice cubes.

  3. 8

    Shake Well

Shake vigorously until the mixture is chilled.

  4. 9

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Optionally, you can serve it on the rocks by pouring it over fresh ice.
