Method

Crab Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the fresh crab meat, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until fully combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should get approximately 8-10 patties.

  3. 3

    Chill

Place the crab cakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

  4. 4

    Cook Crab Cakes

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Tangy Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve the crab cakes hot with the tangy sauce on the side for dipping.
