Method

Cooking the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the NY strip steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time to your preference.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 4

    Prepare the Eggs

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up, over easy, etc.).

Cooking the Hash Browns

  1. 5

    Cook the Hash Browns

In another skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the frozen hash browns, season with salt and pepper, and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

Toasting the Bread

  1. 6

    Toast the Bread

Toast the slices of bread to your liking and spread butter on top.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Slice the rested steak and plate it alongside the eggs, hash browns, and buttered toast.
