Method
Burger Patty Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

Whiskey Caramelized Onions Preparation
- 3
Slice the Onions
Thinly slice the medium onions and set aside.

Caramelize the Onions
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and salt. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.
- 5
Add Whiskey and Sugar
Stir in the whiskey and brown sugar. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
