Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spinach

If using fresh spinach, wash it thoroughly and blanch it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain and cool it, then blend into a smooth paste. If using frozen spinach, thaw and blend to a smooth consistency.

  2. 2

    Fry the Paneer

Cut the paneer into cubes and lightly fry them in oil or ghee until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Base

In the same pan, add more oil or ghee if needed. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chili. Sauté until onions are translucent.

  4. 4

    Add Spices

Stir in turmeric powder and salt, and cook for another minute. Then, add the spinach puree and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

    Combine Paneer and Cream

Add the fried paneer cubes and garam masala to the spinach mixture. Stir in the cream and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve hot with naan or rice.
