Method

Preparation of Aloo Chop

  1. 1

    Boil and Mash Potatoes

Boil the potatoes until tender. Peel and mash them in a bowl.

  2. 2

    Cook Vegetables

In a pan, heat a little oil and sauté the chopped onions until golden. Add the green peas, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes until well combined.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

Combine the cooked vegetable mixture with the mashed potatoes. Mix well and let it cool.

  4. 4

    Shape Croquettes

Take a small amount of the mixture and shape it into oval or round croquettes.

  5. 5

    Coat with Egg and Breadcrumbs

Dip each croquette in beaten eggs and then roll them in bread crumbs until fully coated.

  6. 6

    Fry the Croquettes

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the croquettes until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels.

Preparation of Tomato Sauce

  1. 7

    Cook Tomato Sauce

In a saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add tomato puree, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened.
