Marinade

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric, garam masala, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Add the Faroe Island salmon fillets to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for a more intense flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Prepare the Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill or a baking sheet if using the oven. Grill the salmon for about 4-6 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. If baking, cook in the oven for about 12-15 minutes.

  3. 5

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill or oven. Let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with thinly sliced red onion and chopped fresh cilantro. Enjoy your Tandoori Salmon!
