Marinade

Method

Preparation of Marinade

  1. 1

    Mix the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, and oil. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  2. 2

    Cube the Paneer

Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes and add them to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well-coated with the marinade.

  3. 3

    Marinate

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for better flavor) to allow the paneer to absorb the spices.

Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 4

    Chop Vegetables

While the paneer is marinating, chop the bell peppers and onion into similar-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes.

Assembly and Cooking

  1. 5

    Prepare Skewers

Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning. This step is optional but recommended.

  2. 6

    Assemble Skewers

Thread the marinated paneer cubes alternately with the chopped bell peppers and onions onto the skewers.

  3. 7

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.

  4. 8

    Grill Paneer Tikka

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve Hot

Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
