Preparation
Brew Vanilla Chai
Prepare 1 cup of vanilla chai tea by steeping the tea in hot water according to package instructions. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
Prepare Glass
Fill a highball glass with ice cubes to chill it while you prepare the drink.
Mixing
Combine Ingredients
In a shaker, combine 2 oz of dry gin, 0.5 oz of bergamot syrup, and 1 tsp of cooled vanilla chai tea. Add ice to the shaker.
Shake
Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients.
Strain and Pour
Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
Top with Tonic
Pour 4 oz of tonic water gently over the gin mixture in the glass to maintain the carbonation.
Garnishing
Garnish
Garnish your Nilgiri G&T with a slice of fresh bergamot peel. Optionally, sprinkle some chai spices on top for added aroma and flavor.
Serve
