Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Soak the Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chilies, fresh coriander leaves, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  3. 3

    Shape the Kebabs

Divide the chicken mixture into equal portions. Wet your hands with water and shape each portion around the soaked skewers, pressing firmly to ensure they hold together.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).

  2. 5

    Cook the Kebabs

Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are cooked through and have a nice char.

  3. 6

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt sauce.
