Method

Croissant Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Croissants

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the croissants in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom half. Place them on a baking sheet and set aside for later.

Sausage and Eggs

  1. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage links until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and slice each link in half.

  2. 3

    Scramble the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined. In the same skillet used for the sausage, add a little butter if needed, and pour in the egg mixture. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until the eggs are fluffy and cooked to your liking, about 5 minutes.

Shack Gravy

  1. 4

    Make the Shack Gravy

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes until golden. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Croissant

On the bottom half of each croissant, layer the scrambled eggs, sliced sausage links, a generous drizzle of shack gravy, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Place the top half of the croissant over the filling. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and the croissant is golden brown.
