Preparing the Lemonade Base

Juicing the Lemons
Cut the fresh lemons in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. You should have about 1 to 1.5 cups of lemon juice.

Dissolving the Sugar
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Adding Water
Pour in 4 cups of cold water into the pitcher and stir until well combined.
Infusing Mint Flavor

Macerating Mint Leaves
In a separate bowl, gently bruise the fresh mint leaves using a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their oils.

Combining with Lemonade
Add the bruised mint leaves to the pitcher of lemonade and stir well. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to infuse the mint flavor.
Serving the Shack Lemonade

After the infusion period, strain the lemonade through a fine mesh sieve to remove the mint leaves.
