Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Wash and Peel Potatoes

Rinse the Russet potatoes under cold water to remove any dirt. Using a vegetable peeler, carefully peel the skin off the potatoes.

  2. 2

    Cut Potatoes into Fries

Using a crinkle cutter, cut the peeled potatoes into crinkle-cut fry shapes, approximately 1/4 inch thick.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, pour in the vegetable oil and heat it to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to check the temperature.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add a batch of crinkle-cut fries to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 5

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While still hot, sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, and paprika to taste.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Serve the crinkle-cut fries hot as a side dish or snack. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
