Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Begin by rinsing the chicken breast tenders under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels and set them aside.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Take each chicken tender and first coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well.
Frying
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large, deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping in a small piece of bread; it should sizzle immediately.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 6
Drain the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
