Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for roasting the Brussels sprouts.
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut them in half if they are large to ensure even cooking.
Roasting
- 3
Toss with Olive Oil and Seasonings
In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the sprouts are evenly coated.
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down for maximum caramelization.
- 5
Roast in the Oven
Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fork-tender.
Finishing Touch
- 6
Add Parmesan Cheese
Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Place them back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 7
Serve
Once done, take the Brussels sprouts out of the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious roasted Brussels sprouts topped with Parmesan cheese!
