Meatballs

Tomato Basil Sauce

Mornay Sauce

Method

Prepare Meatballs

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the Wagyu ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.

2

Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into 3 equal-sized meatballs.

3

Cook Meatballs

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Prepare Tomato Basil Sauce

4

Sauté Aromatics

In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, and sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

5

Add Tomatoes

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.

Prepare Mornay Sauce

6

Make Roux

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

7

Add Milk

Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

8

Add Cheese

Remove from heat and stir in the grated Cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper.

Assemble & Serve

9

Combine

In a serving dish, spoon some tomato basil sauce at the bottom, place the cooked Wagyu meatballs on top, and drizzle with the mornay sauce.

10

Garnish

Garnish with additional chopped basil or parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
