DESSERTS
- 1
Prepare the Berries
In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed berries with granulated sugar. Toss gently to coat the berries evenly and let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
- 2
Make the Cobbler Batter
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine the milk and melted unsalted butter. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 3
Assemble the Cobbler
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or individual ramekins. Pour the batter into the bottom of the dish, then gently spoon the berry mixture on top, distributing the berries evenly.
- 4
Bake
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
- 5
Serve
Once baked, remove the cobbler from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
