Method
Frying the Chicken
- 1
In a bowl, marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator for best results.
- 2
In a separate bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- 4
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and dredge it in the flour mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
- 5
Carefully place the coated chicken breasts in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
- 6
Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Preparing Honey Butter
- 7
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter and honey. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 8
Toast the potato rolls until golden brown.
- 9
- 10
Place the fried chicken breast on top of the honey butter.
- 11
Top the chicken with a slice of Swiss cheese, a handful of Society pickles, and mixed greens.
- 12
Cover with the top half of the roll and serve immediately.
