Method

Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs. Add the whole milk and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely.

Tres Leches Mixture Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Milk Mixture

In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk. Whisk until smooth.

  2. 7

    Soak the Cake

Once the cake has cooled, poke holes all over the surface using a fork. Slowly pour the tres leches mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.

Topping the Cake

  1. 8

    Prepare Toppings

Wash and slice the strawberries. Prepare the blueberries as needed.

  2. 9

    Add Whipped Cream

Spread whipped cream over the soaked cake to create an even layer.

  3. 10

    Garnish

Decorate the top of the cake with the sliced strawberries, blueberries, and ivoire pearls.
