Directions
- 1
Prepare the Tuna
Using a sharp knife, slice the bluefin tuna into thin strips, about 1/2 inch thick. Make sure to cut against the grain for tenderness.
- 2
- 3
Mix the Chili Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the chili sauce with the lime zest. Mix well to incorporate the flavors.
- 4
Assemble the Roll
On a clean surface or bamboo mat, lay out a sheet of nori (seaweed). Place a small amount of sushi rice (optional, not listed in ingredients) on the nori, spreading it evenly. Lay the tuna strips and avocado slices in the center, then drizzle with the chili sauce mixture.
- 5
Roll the Sushi
Carefully roll the sushi away from you, using the bamboo mat to help shape it tightly. Seal the edge of the nori with a little water.
- 6
Add Bubu Arare
Before the sushi roll is fully sealed, sprinkle the bubu arare on top of the filling, then finish rolling to encase the crackers.
- 7
Slice and Serve
With a sharp knife, slice the roll into 6-8 pieces, wiping the knife with a damp cloth between cuts to ensure clean edges. Serve with additional chili sauce if desired.
