Method

Cheesecake Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cheesecake Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Cream and Flavorings

Mix in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, flour, and salt until fully incorporated.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cheesecake

Pour the cheesecake batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is deeply browned and the center is set with a slight jiggle.

  6. 6

    Cool the Cheesecake

Once baked, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour with the door slightly ajar. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.

Maple Walnut Topping Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare Walnuts

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the walnuts and toast them for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

  2. 8

    Add Maple Syrup

Stir in the maple syrup and a pinch of salt. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the mixture is bubbly and the walnuts are well coated.

  3. 9

    Cool the Topping

Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.

Fresh Strawberries Preparation

  1. 10

    Prepare Strawberries

Wash and hull the fresh strawberries. Slice them if desired.

  2. 11

    Sweeten Strawberries

In a bowl, toss the strawberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Let sit for about 10 minutes to macerate.
