Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a large bowl, combine the ground Black Angus beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to incorporate the seasonings without overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patty

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a 1/2 inch thick patty. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Signature Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir until smooth and well blended.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly grease the surface to prevent sticking.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Construct the Burger

Spread a generous amount of the signature sauce on the bottom bun. Add lettuce, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Top with a slice of tomato and pickles. Cap with the top bun.
