Pretzel Dough

Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Once the yeast mixture is frothy, add it to the flour mixture along with melted butter. Stir until a dough forms.

Shape Pretzels
After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope, then twist it into a pretzel shape.

Boil Pretzels
In a large pot, bring 10 cups of water to a boil and add the baking soda. Boil each pretzel for about 30 seconds, then transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake Pretzels
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Sprinkle the boiled pretzels with coarse sea salt. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.

In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, beer, honey, and garlic powder until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

In another small bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until smooth and well blended.
