Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

Set the egg mixture aside to allow the flavors to meld while you prepare the bread.

Heat the Skillet
Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add butter, allowing it to melt and coat the bottom of the pan.

Coat the Bread
Dip each slice of challah bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated but not soaked.

Cook the French Toast
Place the coated bread slices onto the hot skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Once cooked, transfer the french toast slices to a plate and keep warm.
