Cobbler Base

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat.

Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 1 cup brown sugar. Beat in 2 large eggs and 2 tsp of vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp salt.

Combine All Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pecan Topping

Prepare Toppings
Fold in the 1 cup of chopped pecans and 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the cobbler batter.
Baking

Bake Cobbler
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out slightly moist but not wet.
Serving

Serve with Ice Cream
Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Scoop 4 servings of vanilla ice cream on top of each serving of cobbler and enjoy!
