Method
Prepare the Fries
- 1
Cook the French Fries
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F). Carefully add the frozen French fries in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 2
Drain and Season
Once cooked, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. While they are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
Assemble the Loaded Fries
- 3
Layer the Toppings
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the hot fries on a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the fries, followed by the crumbled bacon.
- 4
Melt the Cheese
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Drizzle with Ranch and Serve
Remove the fries from the oven and drizzle ranch dressing on top. Garnish with sliced green onions. Serve immediately while hot.
