Preparing the Catfish Strips

Cut the Catfish
Begin by cutting the catfish fillets into strips, about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Catfish Strips
Carefully place the breaded catfish strips in the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Making the Tartar Sauce

Mix the Ingredients
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles, lemon juice, capers, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.

Chill the Sauce
Cover the tartar sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving the Dish

Arrange the fried catfish strips on a serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
