Method

Cobbler Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, raisins, and half of the brown sugar. Toss well to combine and then transfer to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

    Make the Crumble Topping

In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, walnuts, flour, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Cobbler

Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the apple and raisin mixture in the baking dish.

  4. 4

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving warm with scoops of double rainbow ice cream on top.
